In this episode of Auditors Save the World, podcast host Leita Hart-Fanta, CPA interviews auditing superhero, Jon Taber.
From the aisles of a bustling convenience store, a place where every item is scanned but no stone is left unturned, emerged Jon – a pizza wielding Super Auditor!
It started as a simple question from the accounting department: Why is this vendor’s bill so big? But behind that invoice lay a mystery deeper than the stockroom’s inventory log.
By day, he ensures the snacks are stocked and the slushies flow. But when trouble strikes, Jon dons his cape of calculation.
With his trusty tool – scenario-based testing – Jon cracked the case in under a week! He uncovered hidden risks – saving the business a whopping $5 million – and inspiring the auditee to establish controls that would last for decades!
He’s not just crunching numbers, he’s reshaping futures… one soda at a time! Stay tuned for another thrilling tale of audit adventures.
