Description
$260 (per person) includes an online webinar for 4 hours of CPE credit
Which book is best? Answer: they both are depending on what you and your team are trying to do. In this short, half-day session, consider the similarities and major differences between the IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework (Red Book) and the GAO’s Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book). As part of this session, you will receive an Excel spreadsheet that crosswalks the standards to each other.
This course is designed to give auditors an overview of the differences so that they can choose which standards to follow in their audit shop and/or to remind them of sticking points between the two standards in order to prepare them for a peer review.
Objectives include:
- Determine the root causes of the differences between the standards
- Apply the auditor and consultant independence standards to your team
- Identify the different approaches to controls, competence, evidence, follow-up and more
