Description
$275 (per person) includes an online webinar for 4 hours of CPE credit
The Government Auditing Standards, or Yellow Book, provide a framework to guide government auditors to do high-quality audit work with competence.
This dynamic 4-hour webinar takes participants on a journey through the Yellow Book, including its powerful impact on the quality and credibility of government and performance audits. We will explore the 2024 standards changes released by the GAO and the related implementation timeframe.
We’ll also uncover why audit standards matter and dive into the core sections of the Yellow Book, exploring the real-world relevance of ethics, independence, and professional judgment.
Participants will dig into the most significant 2024 updates, especially in quality management, engagement quality reviews, and peer review, to understand how these changes elevate government auditing.
The course also brings fieldwork standards to life, walking through the essential steps of planning, conducting, supervising, documenting, and ultimately crafting effective audit reports. A hands-on exercise challenges participants to uncover why these topics matter.
We wrap up with a forward-looking overview of the 2024 revisions, leaving attendees informed, energized, and ready to apply these standards with confidence.
