Description
$980 includes access to all Yellowbook-CPE‘s self-study courses to prove your compliance with GAGAS competence standards!

If you conduct performance or financial audits under the Yellow Book, you already know the standards demand more than technical skill. They demand competence you can demonstrate.
But how do you prove it to your management, your auditees, your peers, and your reviewers?
Introducing the Yellow Book Qualified Auditor (YBQA) Certificate. This is your opportunity to show you understand the standards, can apply them, and are committed to excellence in government auditing.
How It Works
Start by completing a curated core curriculum covering the essentials of government auditing:
- The Yellow Book (Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards)
- The Green Book (Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government)
- Fraud awareness for auditors in the government environment
- IT concepts for non-IT auditors
- Ethics for government auditors
Then, tailor your learning path:
- Performance auditors take additional courses aligned with reporting, interviewing, and evidence development.
- Financial auditors complete additional courses focused on financial audit essentials, Single Audit requirements, and Uniform Guidance.
To round out your required 80 CPE hours, you will choose from a wide range of electives. All courses are NASBA-compliant and qualify for governmental auditing CPE.
We also highly recommend reading both the Yellow Book and Green Book, cornerstones of your professional foundation.
When you’re ready, demonstrate your mastery by completing a 50-question comprehensive online exam.
To maintain your credential, simply report 24 hours of government CPE and 56 hours of audit-related CPE every two years, based on the anniversary of your completion date.
Cost
- Initial program (core courses + final exam): $980. A bundled rate far lower than purchasing the courses individually.
- Renewal every two years: $250
This offer is for one student. It is not transferable nor can it be shared with other students. Access to all courses expires two years from the purchase date.

What People Say About These Courses
“Discussions/comparisons between AICPA and GAGAS standards in plain English rather than just citing the standards language. THANK YOU!!!”

“I think the fact that this was written by a practitioner, and a very good writer, made it easy to read, very personable, it felt like someone was talking to me as I was reading it. You laid out all the concepts in an easy to follow manner. Flow of concepts was good, too.”

“The most wonderful thing about this is that I have a PDF of the material to refer to when I need it, and it will be much easier to find and understand than reading the standards language.”
