The IIA just issued their comparison of the International Professional Practices Framework (known in auditor slang as the red book) to government auditing standards issued by the GAO (known in auditor slang as the yellow book).

Because the yellow book isn’t very fond of auditors conducting “non-audit services” – or what the IIA calls “consulting” – it is worth a close look from anyone seeking to comply with both standards (in slang known as orange shops… get it? Red plus yellow = orange. :) ) We auditors are so cool, aren’t we?
