Coaching & Communicating Leadership Skills for High Performing Audit Teams
No one wants to be labeled the “toxic leader” or a “Bad News Bears low-performing team” that no one wants to work with. Everyone takes pride in doing excellent work and wants to make a positive difference in government. Set your team up for success by creating an environment where your team can learn and grow.
Join Lisa M. Ong, CPA PCC in this session about giving and getting feedback, using active listening and coaching skills to foster better collaboration and an inclusive audit team culture. This is especially important in hybrid and remote team environments since not everyone is always in the same location.
We’ll explore some “what would you do scenarios?” to different approaches that work well when delivering both constructive and developmental feedback. Lisa will share ideas to put into action on your audit teams through stories and examples from her work as a former auditor.

- Identify different social styles to listen for clues to help adjust your communication skills for greater effectiveness.
